• Your importer, as introducer, generally must register with AICIS and categorise the introduction; we supply full INCI lists and composition information.
• The mandatory cosmetics ingredient labelling standard requires INCI names, generally in descending order. Whether complimentary amenities are exempt is not clear-cut, so check before artwork is final.
• Avoid antibacterial or antiseptic claims on hand wash; they can bring a product under Therapeutic Goods Administration rules.
• Words like "eco" or "plastic-free" must be accurate under Australian Consumer Law; the ACCC has published guidance on environmental claims.
• Several states are phasing out single-use plastics, and some have signalled that small hotel toiletry bottles may be included. Check current Victorian rules.
