Harrods Health makes private-label hotel toiletries for Mumbai's business and luxury hotels, Pune's corporate hotels and serviced apartments, and the weekend resorts of Lonavala and the Western Ghats. We plan formulas and packaging around coastal humidity and heavy monsoons, and deliver by road from our factory in Ambala, Haryana.

Three markets in one state

Mumbai combines luxury hotels, upper-upscale business hotels near the commercial districts and the airport, midscale properties and a large number of compact budget hotels. Bathroom space is often tight, which affects what fits on a vanity. Pune is a corporate and education city, with business hotels, serviced apartments for long-stay professionals and branded budget chains. Lonavala, Khandala and the hill and lake areas around them are weekend escapes, where resorts and villas fill up on Fridays and holidays and run quiet midweek.

Packing for coastal humidity

Mumbai's sea air and the Ghats' heavy monsoon are hard on packaging. Paper labels can lift and cartons soften if they sit on a damp floor. We select label materials and closures with humidity in mind and pack cartons for storage in humid stores. On site, keep cartons raised off the floor, sealed until use and rotated first in, first out.

Scents for the west coast

Business hotels in Mumbai and Pune tend to choose clean, energising scents such as citrus, vetiver and green notes. Resorts in the Ghats lean towards fresher, rain-forest and floral profiles that suit a weekend away. Luxury hotels often prefer a signature blend used across rooms, spa and public areas so the brand is recognisable from the lobby to the shower.

Weekend peaks and stocking

Resort demand around Lonavala clusters at weekends and holidays, so a property can use a large share of its monthly amenities in a few days. Road delivery from north India takes planning, so we suggest holding a buffer in your store and ordering ahead of the festive season and the monsoon. Refill-based systems from our bulk packs range reduce how much space you need, and a mixed delivery can cover rooms, washrooms and spa in one consignment. Who buys in Maharashtra

Mumbai is home to many hotel owning companies and management companies, so procurement for properties across India is often run from offices in the city. Pune and Lonavala have more owner-operated resorts and serviced apartment operators, and distributors supply the smaller hotels and homestays along the expressway and in the hills. We work with each kind of buyer: a group can approve one specification centrally and have it delivered to individual hotels, while a resort owner can order a smaller range with its own artwork. Samples, ingredient lists and manufacturing documentation are available for each product, and formulas can be supplied as dermatologically tested with test reports on request.

Plastic rules in Maharashtra

National rules prohibited identified single-use plastic items from July 2022, and at the time of writing the central list does not name hotel toiletry bottles. Maharashtra has also issued its own plastic notifications over the years, so check current state rules before finalising packaging. Dispensers and 5 L refills reduce small bottles if you want to move away from miniatures.
