Rules on the mainland side

Guangzhou and Shenzhen follow the national regime: the Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulation, overseen by the National Medical Products Administration. Imported general cosmetics are filed before import by a China-based domestic responsible person, and labels must be in Chinese with standard Chinese ingredient names and the responsible person's details. Crossing between the mainland and Hong Kong

A hotel group with properties in Shenzhen and Hong Kong is dealing with two regimes. A product cleared for the mainland does not automatically suit Hong Kong labelling, and the reverse is also true.
