NAFDAC registration

In Nigeria, cosmetics and toiletries generally need registration with NAFDAC (the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) before they can be imported and sold. We provide the formula documentation, labels and test reports they request. Allow time for registration in your launch plan.

English labels are standard. Your consultant will confirm what must appear on pack and whether the registration number needs printing on the label. Rules change, so confirm current requirements with your importer or a local regulatory consultant before you place an order.

Halal for northern and Muslim guests

Northern Nigeria is largely Muslim, and Abuja hotels host guests from across the country and the wider region. Our facility is Halal certified, which can help when a property wants that assurance for its toiletries.

Lagos is hot and humid all year, and product may wait at port before clearance. We discuss viscosity, fragrance and closures with this in mind, and can share stability considerations for each format. Generators and air conditioning do not always cover storerooms, so keep stock somewhere shaded and ventilated.
