Import basics for South Africa

Cosmetics in South Africa must meet national labelling and safety requirements, and customs clearance runs through a registered importer. Rather than guess at the details, ask your importer or a local regulatory consultant which rules apply to your products and what the label must show. We supply ingredient lists, formula documentation and test reports on request.

Group buyers sourcing for several properties often ask for one base formula in different scents per brand. We can quote that per item. English labelling is standard. Some properties add a second local language for guest-facing information, which we can print. Many South African hotel groups and lodges have their own sustainability targets, and guests often notice what is in the bathroom. Refillable dispensers and 5 L refills reduce packaging.
