Tanzania's tourism splits into two quite different worlds: lodges and tented camps on the northern and southern safari circuits, and beach resorts on Zanzibar and the coast. Safari lodges and tented camps

Camps around the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and the southern parks are remote, often reached by small aircraft or long road transfers. Storage is tight and every delivery costs time. Refillable dispensers and 5 L refills reduce the number of items to move and the waste to carry out. Gentle, lightly scented formulas suit guests who spend all day outdoors in dust and sun.

Zanzibar and coastal resorts

Resorts on Zanzibar, Pemba and the mainland coast face high humidity and salt air. Guests use more body lotion and conditioner, and resorts often run spas. Premium minis, tubes and spa massage oils in coconut, frangipani or spice-inspired scents fit the island setting. Zanzibar's history as a spice island gives plenty of scope for a signature scent with clove or cinnamon accents.

City hotels in Dar es Salaam and Arusha

Business hotels in Dar es Salaam and Arusha, the gateway to the northern circuit, serve corporate and transit guests. Branded minis or wall dispensers in a clean scent are typical. Arusha hotels often host safari guests for a night either side of their trip, so a scent that links to your lodge range can work well.

Import basics, mainland and Zanzibar

Cosmetics imported into Tanzania need to meet the requirements of the national authority, and Zanzibar has its own regulatory arrangements alongside the mainland's. If your property is on Zanzibar, ask your importer whether separate requirements apply there. We provide formula documentation, ingredient lists and test reports on request.

Labels in English are generally accepted, and some properties add Swahili for guest-facing information, which we can print. Rules change, so confirm current requirements with your importer or a local regulatory consultant before you place an order.

Plastics

Tanzania restricts plastic carrier bags, and lodges inside parks often have their own waste rules. Check with your importer how these affect packaging and outer cartons, and consider refillable formats where single-use minis are a concern.

Halal and Zanzibar guests

Zanzibar's population is predominantly Muslim, and resorts there welcome guests from the Gulf and beyond. Our facility is Halal certified, which helps resorts that want that assurance on their bathroom amenities.

Shipping to Tanzania

Orders usually travel by sea from India to Dar es Salaam. Zanzibar resorts commonly receive goods onward from Dar es Salaam, and northern lodges by road via Arusha. Your forwarder arranges clearance; we handle export packing and documents. See our export and fulfilment page.
